WE purchased this 1960 home a year and a half ago and are just now slowly trying to update it, on a small budget, I painted my kitchen cabinets and distressed them and got rid of the harvest gold countertops and stovetop and the vintage microwave. Am hoping to put in flooring and do something with the island.

Today started early, Papa has a bulging disc and couldn't rest, he got up at 6:30 this morning, so Nanny has to get up also, got a roast and potatoes going in crock pot and got a couple things done in house. I need a new project! Trying to post the kitchen redo so far and google is not cooperating with me on loading pics!

Altered bottles I have made, would love to fill the house with them but seem to be running out of space!

My laundry room and most the time entryway into the house. No one really uses the entry thru the front door , although I wish they would, if you are like me the laundry isn't always the cleanest room in the house!

We are finally getting to start remodeling on our home we bought last year, it was built in the 1960's and very much outdated. I think I am figuring out this blog business finally, hopefully I can add some new and old pics!

Found this cabinet last week, it wasn't painted when I got it but I did it in white to match my cabinets and still got to find new hardware, trying to decide on distressing or not, It works great to display all my coffee cans!
